Hadn’t seen one of these old classics for a very long time until the other day in Woodley, England. The Ford Prefect was produced by Ford UK between 1938 and 1961. In 1953 the car was given this more ‘modern’ look, so this particular example has to be from the period between 1955 and 1961.
I always visit the park when I am in Woodley, Berkshire, and in many ways it hasn’t changed that much since I played there as a kid. Beautified, less wild, and the ponds have been developed, but other than that, pretty much the same.
A quick impromptu one week trip to the UK and I experienced the full range of weather conditions, which was actually (or strangely) interesting. Cloudy and a short flurry of snow upon arrival, rain, two brief hailstorms, rain, clear blue skies and warm, a bit more snow and freezing cold. Well, it seemed like freezing cold but was around 4 or 5 degrees I believe.
The purpose-built walls in Woodford Park, Woodley, England, are specifically for graffiti, so the designs change quite frequently. These are the latest artworks on display.
I went on a short trip to the UK, Berkshire and Hampshire to be more precise, and it was great to experience so many different weather types in such a short space of time: rain, a few tiny snowflakes, two quick hailstorms, high winds. a couple of hours of clear blue skies and sun and a cold snap.
Autumn and winter landscapes, snow, frost and bright sunshine.
Simple but effective and quite ornamental. The bench is in Woodford Park, Woodley, Berkshire, England.
This is the pond in Woodley, Berkshire, England, without the ice.

This is one of my favourite places for feeding the quackers when I am in Woodley, Berkshire. Not only ducks but also swans and Canada geese live at the pond.
