A fairly short Feria procession made its way through the streets of Nerja on Tuesday with the newly elected Feria Queen adorning one of the floats.
The annual Feria, longer this year, is in full swing with things happening on the Balcón de Europa, Plaza España and at the feria ground itself. All very colourful.
A longer Nerja Feria this year, running from October 7th to 12th 2017, with the Gala and Election of the Feria Queen on the 7th and performances by La Húngara (8th), Semper Asi (9th), Demarco Flamenco (10th), Andy & Lucas (11th) and Los Soles (12th).
The annual Feria de las Maravillas de Maro – Maro Feria – officially kicks off on Wednesday September 6th at 19:00 and continues until September 9th 2017. The group ‘Brass Town’ will be marching and playing on the streets to start proceedings. You can find the full programme (in Spanish) here

Feria started last night, October 8th, and continues until October 12th. Plenty happening on the Balcón de Europa throughout the day – singers, dancers, marching bands.
Nerja Feria 2016, five days of music, dancing and general merrymaking. Here is a QuickVid of one of the bands strolling round the town entertaining anyone who happens to be there at the time.
A few last minute adjustments.

Just a bit of cloud and mist hanging over the Feria. The wheel as seen from the Balcón de Europa.
