For some inexplicable reason electrical problems do occasionally occur, especially during wet weather. No idea why.
A few black and white photos from Sunday afternoon, taken on or around the Balcón de Europa.
A fairly short Feria procession made its way through the streets of Nerja on Tuesday with the newly elected Feria Queen adorning one of the floats.
The annual Feria, longer this year, is in full swing with things happening on the Balcón de Europa, Plaza España and at the feria ground itself. All very colourful.
These two examples of ‘street art’ are on the shutters of a shop in calle Puerta del Mar in the centre of Nerja. The first, certainly, has been there for many years. While I was eyeing up the shot, a (well known) local stopped and asked if he could make a couple of comments (as he is wont to do) and I replied, ‘of course’.
These pimped-out hoverboards have pretty nifty acceleration – and good brakes!. There was an accidental collision between two siblings, the other one being on a small bike, and a few tears although you never know with siblings just how ‘accidental’ it really was.
Strolling down to the Balcón de Europa I fully expected to find that the ‘love lock’ I noticed the other day had been removed. Quite the opposite, there were two more on the railings!
It was still all talk of heatwaves so I just grabbed a few t-shirts for a long weekend in the UK. Sooo glad I decided against shorts and even more happy I decided to take a thin jacket!
It was a beautiful Sunday evening, lots of people and plenty going on all over the place. Why, on holiday, does almost every woman appear to need to buy a couple of bags and most men seem to need a stock of belts?
Quite a few musicians around at the moment, most who have become regulars since completing their auditions and paying their tax for the privilege. There are still the odd buskers appearing, but no doubt that will change when the permanent police presence on the Balcón de Europa begins if the past couple of years are anything to go by.
