Carnaval starts today, February 8th, at 19:00 with the official opening speech being delivered by Ángeles Ramírez Gálvez. It takes place at the Nerja Cultural Centre, calle Granada 45, and the speech is followed by performances from “Con el agua al cuello”, “Los pelotas”, “Viktoria Secret” and “Musicalandia”. And it’s free entry.

A few black and white photos from Sunday afternoon, taken on or around the Balcón de Europa.
A fairly short Feria procession made its way through the streets of Nerja on Tuesday with the newly elected Feria Queen adorning one of the floats.
The annual Feria, longer this year, is in full swing with things happening on the Balcón de Europa, Plaza España and at the feria ground itself. All very colourful.
