It started with one guy, then became a duo when his regular partner arrived and finally became a band when members of the public joined in for a few songs. They gathered a good crowd and hopefully made a few bob into the bargain.
Sunday evening got busier and busier on the Balcón de Europa as people gathered to watch the passing and arrival at Calahonda beach of the Virgen del Carmen flotilla. Monday evening, by the way, is free sardines and music by Duo Compas in Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos, all part of the Virgen del Carmen festivities.

Quite a few musicians around at the moment, most who have become regulars since completing their auditions and paying their tax for the privilege. A lot of people on Calahonda beach on Sunday and quite a few on El Salon. Nice calm seas.
It suddenly clouded over on Wednesday afternoon and there was even the odd spot of rain. This became a quick shower early on Thursday morning with the skies very overcast.
There is a new attraction in Nerja, at the Nerja Caves to be precise, as the jardín botánico Detunda-Cueva de Nerja (Detunda Botanical Garden) has finally opened to the public, a mere three years after its completion.
