Rubbish, Nerja

It was very nippy early this morning, so much so that I half-expected to see snow on them there hills, but there wasn’t any. Just cold.

Not very good for this guy, one of the many people sleeping rough these days.

One thought made me chuckle. The New Year celebrations must be the only ones which actually begin at the scheduled time. Can’t think of any other fiestas, events or processions which ever seem to start on time, it just doesn’t appear to be the done thing. Almost a tradition. If New Year followed suit, of course, we’d probably all be munching on our grapes and sipping champagne at eleven minutes past one or the like.

Why oh why? It s just so unnecessary. And why it isn’t cleared up is anyone’s guess. The shrubbery was cut back and cleared around it! No doubt needs a commission to be set up to determine which department or authority is responsible, argue about who is going to fund it and then make a ‘commitment’  to set up a committee to begin working on preparing a preliminary draft project.
