A glorious start to the Easter Week in Nerja with the temperatures in the mid-twenties, loads of people out and about and shorts and t-shirts the order of the day.
Quite a lot of people taking the opportunity to pop down to the beach.
The Palm Sunday procession brought out the crowds and the iglesia El Salvador was packed.
The crowds and warm weather also brought out the beggars in their droves. They were on street corners, in the squares and even in the doorway of the church. Not as bad as it is in the bigger towns and cities, of course.
The authorities ought to be able to do something to alleviate the situation for those suffering genuine hardship. Not the ‘professionals’.
