Weather-wise, two things can almost be guaranteed. The sun will come out for the Romeria de San Isidro, whatever it was like in the preceeding weeks (in this case rain and cold), and it will be cloudy and wet during the October Feria.
And so it was this year, the sun suddenly donning its titfer for the long procession from the centre of Nerja to the Nerja caves, a journey of around 4.6 kilometres.
A few less horses, carriages and oxen than last year I would say, but still plenty to go round.
Everyone dons their festive gear, even the horses.
