How many/few months has the underground car park at Burriana beach been open? Well, it has now been closed – Easter Week – so that repairs can be carried out to get it ready for the summer!

It would appear that, built on a spring, it requires a cistern, pumps and generators to stop it flooding when there is a drop of rain. The current system has seemingly been unable to cope with the climate.

The car park is built next to an unstable hillside and has suffered from landslides, soil even being deposited on the outside stairs and the top levels of the car park itself.

It also apparently has no ADSL installed, needed to process payments, and no security cameras to monitor the site when it is closed, which is most of the time. All in all…Hope the sewage plant, when it finally gets completed, will be of a better standard.
