Wildlife in the Slow Lane. Nature and wildlife photos and information
I always enjoy a walk at Moor Green as there are several different routes you can take but it wasbitterly cold and there was a biting wind. Since I always use a hand-held camera, it was quite difficult to hold it steady in the wind. There were three Redwing feeding on the ground in the pony paddock near the car park.
There were about ten Siskin feeding at the top of a tree. I took a few shots although the light was tricky and my hands were numb!
I saw a Kestrel but it was too high in the sky for a photo. This Buzzard landed in a tree across the lake so I tried a couple of really long-distance shots.
There were dozens of ducks on the lakes, Tufted, Pochard, Wigeon etc. This is a nice, colourful Wigeon.
The gravel pit area was full of gulls and there were several Lesser black-backed Gulls.
