Wildlife in the Slow Lane. Nature and wildlife photos and information
Another very cold day and most of the lakes largely frozen over with just a few clear patches of water. Lots of frost covering the ground and vegetation giving an eerie white glow. Not many photos as too busy today but a few, starting with a spider’s web in the garden. The frost on it makes it appear to be broken but all the strands are complete, just not all frosted over.
All the trees and plants were covered in frosty crystals for the whole day.
and even the larger lakes were mostly frozen so there was very little movement in terms of wildlife.
There were large groups of gulls gathered together on the frozen lakes, with a few Mallard, Tufted Ducks and one or two Geese.
Several little Dunnock were searching for food on the footpath and in the nearby shrubs.
