Very quick walk on the way to Woodley today to find Southlake is mostly frozen over. Nothing exciting about, just the usual gulls and ducks. Even the Grey Wagtail was walking across the ice on the lake instead of staying on dry land.
The ducks and the gulls all follow you round as you walk in case there is any food for them. They come out of the water right up to your feet and the Egyptian Geese can be a real nuisance. One of them was following me so close to my leg I thought I would trip over it. They are really quite aggressive and although it only wanted food, it was not a pleasant experience.
