Short Walk from home to the River Loddon

I have been very busy today so just took a short walk from home to the River Loddon and back.  It snowed again last night so it is still very cold.  The first surprise was a lovely Green Woodpecker feeding on the ground near the children’s play area by the footpath.  I managed a quick photo but it is not great.  As you can see from the pictures of the snowy footpaths, I didn’t see many other walkers !

There were lots of small birds about but the only photo I took was of a tree sparrow because my hands were too cold !

The rest of the photos show the snow and the river.
