Mistle Thrush

The Mistle Thrush (Turdus viscivorus) is larger than the Song Thrush and is actually Europe’s largest true songbird.  It has dark spots, compared to the V-shaped spots of the Song Thrush, and can be quite loud.  While not endangered, they are not particularly common in my area but there is a pair that regularly appears on the rooftop opposite the front of my house and also in the surrounding trees.  These are a few of the photos I have taken this week.
