Paco Mari is a very popular restaurant located on calle Gloria in the centre of Nerja and boasts a very nice Andalucian patio.
We went quite early to the restaurant, around eight o’clock, but it was already very busy and within a short time there were people queuing outside waiting for a table.
We decided to sample the Menu del Dia – Daily Menu – which gives you three courses (multiple choices for each) for €9.50. I began with a PilPil – prawns cooked in garlic and oil – followed by pork loin in pepper sauce and, to finish, a creamy rice pudding.
Good food and excellent value for money. The service was good and, when we had a sudden spot of rain (in August!!!) the staff were very quick to provide umbrellas and roll out the awnings. Luckily the rain didn’t last long and wasn’t really an inconvenience.
So, overall, a very nice restaurant, good food, good service and quite a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend giving it a whirl.
