El Puente, Nerja

The Menu del Día – Daily Menu – is a relatively inexpensive way of ettin a two or three course meal and is offered in many bars and restaurants. There is a choice of starters, main courses and desserts. The portions are generally, but not always, slightly smaller than f you were choosing from the standard menu, naturally, to keep the price down.

So, for a starter I chose onion soup and for the main course a pork chop. The soup was tasty, lots of onions and croutons. Then came the main course. What a chop! It was huge, as you can see from the photo. It was served with French fries and salad and it was impossible to get any more on the plate – the plate was pretty large.

El Puente, Nerja

The chop was succulent and very tasty. The Menu del Día at El Puente costs €9 – it has been the same price for a very long time – and is great value for money. The bar also does an excellent range of tapas as well as á la carte.
