The chorizo al infierno was popularised by Rafa at Los Barriles and he still does a great one – but more and more tapas bars offer a similar dish these days. This one was at El Redondo – The Round Bar – in calle Gloria. For some reason, though, my camera phone failed to show the huge flames as my sausage sizzled away.
We also popped into Gusto on calle Pintada, the first time I have been in there, to sample some of their craft beers.
Several small seating areas on the ground floor, including a small terrace at the back. Very good service and the beers, all Spanish, were a bit different and certainly tasty. We sampled three different ones, each with a distinctive flavour. The only negative really is that at €5 or more per bottle, it is a bit pricey.
