Namaste is a fairly new Nepalese and Indian restaurant on calle Cristo so we decided to pay it a visit as we are all fond of such cuisine.
There is a small street terrace (a few tables for two), an indoor area and, at the back, a small patio, which s where we took up residence.
The menu nicely separates the Nepali and Indian dishes and we ordered four different dishes so we could all try each one. The dishes were placed on a hotplate in the middle of the table and the rice and other items were served separately, ideal.
Our waiter, a Nepali, took great pride in explaining the various dishes and also the often subtle differences between Indian and Nepali cuisine. The fact that we had all been to Nepal on at least one occasion seemed to make his day.
The food was excellent, the service couldn’t be faulted and the setting was very good. I would definitely recommend Namaste if you like this type of cuisine. Not the cheapest place in town but well worth it.
