La Bodega de Antonia is located at the beginning of calle Carabeo in Nerja and replaced the former Los Barriles, home of the ‘chorizo infierno’.
The interior has been changed a little and there is now also a separate dining area and even a sort of small garden terrace at the back. There is still a small street terrace.
The tapas was chosen for me, I presume this is usually the case now. I would imagine, though, that if you had any special dietary requirements you would just need to ask and it would be taken into account as it is in other places where you yourself don’t normally choose the tapas.
The portion was a good size and very tasty. A beer and a tapa was €1.90.
Pleasant surroundings, good service and price on a par with many bars nowadays, particularly in the centre of town. Still plenty to be found in the €1.20 to €1.60 range, of course, including the excellent La Marina.
